This self-guided event will acquaint you with some of the best photo opportunities in the Morro Bay area. If you don’t have a GPS (either on your phone, a handheld, or a car navigation system capable of reading way points), you can still participate with a map that is provided. You will be given way points to find. Like a treasure hunt, when you succeed, instead of discovering a geocache, you will discover some of the most photogenic scenery in the area. You can drive to each of the dozen or so way points which have been carefully selected for their views. This adventure will take 1-4 hours, depending on how many sites you elect to visit. What To Bring: cameras, wide angle, tripod, prime or telephoto lens – an 18-200mm would be perfect for this event. Point and Shoot cameras are also good for this event. Note: Although the many locations may be handicap friendly there are some that are not. |

This workshop is designed for the photographer that wants to learn more about taking images at night or in very low light conditions. It combines classroom work with an evening photo shoot. In the classroom, we will go over equipment, camera settings, shooting techniques and how to best post-process images. As the sun goes down, we will use what we have learned in challenging low light situations in and around Morro Bay. By the end of the workshop, you will not only be a better night photographer but you will also learn how to use your camera in many other situations, either day or night. |
